Description:
One of the most persistent hurdles in regulatory submissions is the seasonal limitation of pollinator testing. Traditional honeybee studies are often tethered to local flowering windows, leading to intense scheduling competition at contract research organizations (CROs) during the spring and summer months. This “seasonal rush” can delay data generation and stall registration timelines.
In this session, we explore how advancements in methodology now allow for continuous, year-round honeybee testing. By moving beyond seasonal constraints, registrants can ensure more predictable project timelines and maintain a steady flow of high-quality ecotoxicological data.
What You Will Learn
-
Methodological Innovation: Explore robust methodologies for conducting honeybee toxicity studies across different seasons, ensuring results remain reproducible regardless of the time of year.
-
Strategic Reliability: Understand practical, year-round approaches to study design that provide the continuous data necessary to support environmental risk assessments and informed regulatory decisions.
The Take-Home Message
Year-round honeybee testing provides a continuous, reliable understanding of pollinator health. By utilizing these methods, the industry can deliver the high-quality data needed for robust risk assessments without being sidelined by the calendar.
